We had our timing chains repaireD last October. We hadn’t put more than 1,000 miles. We traveled to South Dakota July 22nd. On our way near Broadrus Montana I. Was on cruise control going up a hill 4 miles west of Broadrus the engine speed up by the time I could step on brake engine blew up. Left us stranded on two lane road. Towed to Broadrus 4 miles towed to Chev shop 93 miles to tell me that the engine was shot. Hole in block. Can’t prove that the 4500.00 we spent caused this issue. My brother in-law had to drive 6 hours to pick us up. We had to purchase a new car inSouth Dakota to get home. Not a good trip. Rod went through the block block estimated 9700.00 dollars to fix. Had to find a wrecking yard to get rid of the traverse. Received 1,000.00 dollars for the traverse. Plus you put in new starter just before we left. Another 700.00. I don’t feel very good about the value received. Only had 91,000 miles on it. Not common to lose a engine at 91,000 miles. Yes I always check the oil every time I fill up when I’m on a trip. The water temp was at 210 degrees.
